I will be brief — there is only one thing that cures — that is the body itself. The amazing machine we call a body has all the chemicals, all the blueprints all the information to cure. We just need to give it fresh water, fresh food, and a good structure and it will do the rest. As a chiropractor that preforms a powerful treatment, I DON”T CURE ANYTHING — I just put the body back in better position to heal itself. The power that made the body heals the body — headaches, high blood pressure, depression, urinary incontinence are all signs of a body that is not functioning properly.

Stress hardiness is more important than stress reduction for overall health. TFT22 and nutrition can provide and excellent way to protect against this insidious killer -- "STRESS" Continue reading →

After watching the ABC video link below, I got to thinking… Which is more important; Reducing Stress or Increasing Stress Hardiness.

With the Heart Rate Variability (HRV) equipment we have in the office we are able to measure stress, stress hardiness, “fight or flight” vs. ‘rest and digest” autonomic balance and fatigue. This has brought a new perspective on my opinion on stress. The only way to avoid stress is to crawl in a ball and die (and depending on your beliefs you may still have a wee bit of stress).

Stress is important in the growth of a human being. You grow physically to stress — exercise is a form of stress that improves the strength and increases the size of muscle. Stress on bone leads to calcium formation and increased bone strength. Studying is a form of stressing your brain to grow and increase brain function and learning.

So why can’t the normal everyday stress of life be looked at as a growth experience? It can as long as we don’t get on stress overload.

Stress hardiness is the body’s ability to handle stress — hence in a certain situation on person excels and another crumbles. We have shown in our office with doing the TFT22 – Craniospinal Technique we have been able to increase stress hardiness. Also good diet will also increase the stress hardiness. To me it seems like a much simpler approach to improve your body’s ability to handle stress than try to reduce your stress — many stressful situations are beyond our control — but our ability to handle them is within our control.

Many people are taking a pill to provide the illusion of stress hardiness — basically it just numbs the nervous system to ignore the situation or surroundings.

Call now for a FREE HRV Test to determine your stress hardiness and a complimentary consultation to determine if TFT22 – Craniospinal Technique might be the answer for you.
